Editorial standards
These rules sit on top of every guide. They are how we stay useful after the enrolment shop closed.
Independence
Staff articles are not written to sell a particular RTO, software vendor or insurer. If a piece is paid for or includes a commercial placement, the link is marked rel="sponsored" and the copy says so. See the guest post guidelines.
Sources
We prefer primary Australian sources: the model WHS Act and regulations, Safe Work Australia codes, training.gov.au units, ASQA guidance and Fair Work material. When we summarise, we say we are summarising. State variations (Victoria's OHS Act, Western Australia's adoption dates) are flagged instead of pretending the country is one jurisdiction.
What we are not
We are not your PCBU, your lawyer, your assessor or your union. Guides are general information. High-risk decisions need a competent person who can see the workplace.
Corrections
If a duty, unit code or date is wrong, tell us via the contact form. We update the article and, for a material change, note the date on the page.
Images
Photographs are Creative Commons or public domain, stored on this site, and credited on the article and on the image credits page.
Standards, in short
Are you a registered training organisation?
No. This site is an editorial publication. It does not enrol students or issue AQF qualifications.
How do you handle mistakes?
Substantive errors get a dated correction on the article. Typos are fixed quietly. Email the contact desk and mark the note as a correction.
